Marketing says Wi-Fi is now "faster than wire." In throughput? Maybe. In reliability? Never.

1. Half-Duplex vs Full-Duplex

Ethernet is Full-Duplex: It can send and receive data simultaneously.

Wi-Fi is Half-Duplex: It's like a walkie-talkie. Only one device can talk at a time on a specific channel. This creates Micro-Jitter.

2. Interference is Inevitable

Even on the 6GHz band, you are dealing with signal attenuation through walls. A dropped packet leads to Layer 2 retransmissions that cause lag spikes.
